DANCE ATTIRE 

We require all of our dancers ages 3 through teen years to wear proper attire in all of their dance classes. We require dancers in class to be dressed similarly because it is helpful when instructors teach, correct, and view the dancers as a class when they are all uniformed and looking professional. We want to decrease the amount of distractions that may occur in class and it starts with how the dancers are dressed. You can purchase some of  the dance attire at our studio lobby. We will have a list of local stores that sell proper dance shoes. The following is a list of each genre of dance class and what is required:

Ballet/Tap or Ballet/Jazz Combo Class

(Ages 3-5 years)

• Pink Leotard (small skirt attached to leotard is fine)
• Pink or Skin Tone Tights
• Pink Leather or Canvas Ballet Shoes (laces need to be tucked or cut off)
(Absolutely NO “play-kiddie” silk shoes, dancers will need true ballet shoes)
• Black Tap Shoes
• Hair must be back in neat ponytail or bun

Ballet

FEMALES (Ages 6+)

• Any color Leotard, but preferably black.  (absolutely NO skirts or shorts)
• Pink or Skin Tone Tights
• Pink Leather or Canvas Split Sole Ballet Shoes
• Hair slicked back in a neat, tight bun (bun must be covered with a hair net or bun cover)
• Leg warmers and fitted ballet sweatshirts are okay in cold winter months only

 MALES (All Ages)

• Black shorts above the knee
• White t-shirt or tank (plain, fitted)
• Black ballet shoes

Jazz / Lyrical / Contemporary / Stretch

• Any style/color leotard or sports bra (must be form fitting)
• Jazz shorts or leggings
• Tan or Black Split Sole Jazz shoes  (NO laces-tan shoes are preferred for a long leg line)
• Hair must slicked back and tied in a neat, tight, ponytail or bun

Hip Hop / Breaking / Pop Dance

• T-Shirt or Tank Top(Any color or style is okay)
• Basketball Shorts, Sweatpants or Leggings (no Skirts)
• Tennis Shoes (absolutely NO flats or bare feet or Crocs)
• Hair must be secured out of the face

Tap

• TShirt or Tank Top (any color or any style is okay)
• Basketball shorts or leggings (no Skirts)
• Black split sole tap shoes (please NO patent leather tap shoes)     

Preferred:
      Bloch "Respect" lace up tap shoe in black (S0361L) - available only in kids size 1 and up
      For smaller feet: Bloch child lace up tap shoe in black (S0301G)*Leggings/shorts

Aerial Silks Classes

• Any style/color leotard
• Jazz shorts or leggings
• Hair tied back in a neat ponytail

Fitness Classes

• Comfortable fitness clothes - tshirt, tank top, shorts, leggings, sweats
• Athletic Tennis Shoes
